Software Engineer II- Framingham, MA (Hybrid)
About the position Responsibilities • Develop in-depth knowledge of several Staples business processes and systems environment. • Actively participate in the definition, design, development, testing and implementation of software functionality using the Agile methodology. • Create, modify, and design complex programs, modules, routines, scripts and data objects from a detailed design where efficiency, performance and reliability are critical. • Collaborate with business and technology teams on how best to implement desired features and enhancements. • Ensure that technical solutions follow best practices, are reliable, are easily maintainable and are scalable under sustained load. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience. • 2-5 years' experience. • Development skills in Node.js, Angular, Java, JavaScript, Spring, React. • Knowledge of webservices (SOAP/REST), XML/JSON, messaging technologies. • Knowledge of database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server. • Understanding of Windows OS, Linux, Core Java/J2EE architecture. • Exposure to Agile methodologies. • Collaborative and flexible, with a positive attitude. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience with .NET or Swift and Xcode.
