Software Engineer II
About the Team
VIZIOs Technology Software and Services team is seeking a Software Engineer to join their growing Application
Platform team, to develop the platform itself and deliver solutions built on that platform. The Software Engineer will
work with other engineers to implement business logic supporting the TV functionality. This role will be a part of a
small team of engineers reporting to the Engineering Manager. This position will be an individual contributor and
will not have any direct reports. We pride ourselves on being a collaborative team here at Vizio and to accomplish
this, we are in office 5 days a week in our Dallas, TX office.
What You Will Do
Feature Development: Timely completion of assigned features utilizing the development process, from
requirements through delivery.
Quality: Encourage robust software through practices such as unit and integration testing, code review, and
documentation.
Innovation: Bring new ideas to the table to improve our customers' user experience.
Communication and Collaboration: Work with other software engineers, other teams, product
management, and business.
About You
Flexibility - able to deal with ambiguity and change, including changing requirements and timelines.
Communication - excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with other engineers.
Curiosity - drive and capability to dive deeply and understand how things work under the hood.
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with Python
Experience with embedded systems is strongly preferred.
Experience with C / C++ is strongly preferred.
