Aim AI is a bootstrapped, profitable voice AI company at ~$5M ARR. They build ultra-realistic voice agents that handle end-to-end phone conversations for businesses in sales, customer service, and marketing. Every millisecond of latency matters. WHAT YOU'LL DO Architect low-latency, high-throughput systems for live phone calls and bidirectional audio streaming Build backend orchestration (Node.js / TypeScript; Python or Go as needed) integrating STT, TTS, LLMs, and telephony providers Work hands-on with Web Sockets, WebRTC, streaming audio pipelines, and real-time event processing Contribute to the agent builder dashboard and developer tools (React / Next.js) Integrate with Twilio, SIP trunks, VoIP, IVRs, DTMF, call transfers, and compliance edge cases Drive improvements in reliability, observability, failover, monitoring, and alerting Enforce security and compliance best practices across the stack REQUIREMENTS 3+ years building production-grade systems Deep expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript and Node.js Hands-on with WebSockets, WebRTC, and streaming audio/video Strong fundamentals in networking, latency optimization, and system design Comfortable owning both backend and frontend Startup mindset: high ownership, execution-focused, low politics Ivy League / Stanford / MIT preferred TECH STACK Node.js, TypeScript, React, Next.js, WebSockets, WebRTC, Python, Go, Twilio, SIP/VoIP, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, STT/TTS/LLMs BONUS Telephony / VoIP experience Real-time audio or video infrastructure background ML infra, model serving, or AI agent platforms Voice AI or conversational AI exposure #LI-JM1 #LI-Remote Thank you for considering this opportunity.
