In this role, you’ll work closely with a diverse, global team of peers, customers, and stakeholders across functions, leveraging your analytical skills and modern collaboration tools to deliver impactful solutions.Bringing proven software development expertise and a customer-focused mindset, using your skills to create solutions that drive real business value and support smooth, ongoing platform use for clients worldwide.Main responsibilitiesAnalyze business and technical requirements, translate them into scalable technical designs, and deliver new capabilities within the platformProvide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for existing production functionalities.Maintain high-quality code through adherence to standards, code reviews, refactoring, and peer mentorship.Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to solution quality, functionality, performance, or other technical and business challenges.Create and maintain clear documentation for new or enhanced features and system components.Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies and processes to deliver high-value, user-ready functionality.Experience needed for this role3+ years of professional experience developing backend applications using Java and/or Kotlin.Strong English communication skills, both written and conversational.A highly collaborative team player who thrives in diverse and cross functional environments.Strong proficiency with Java 17+ and the Spring / Spring Boot ecosystem.Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React to support cohesive end-to-end solutions.Comfortable working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).Familiarity with development and deployment tools such as Maven, Bamboo, Git, JIRA, GitLab, and Bitbucket.Skilled in application performance tuning to enhance efficiency and scalability.Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.Self driven individuals capable of independently planning, prioritizing, and managing workload.Ability to adapt quickly and perform effectively under tight deadlines and fast-paced release cycles.Additional Skills That Will Set You Apart:Strong knowledge of API development and best practices.Understanding of event oriented architectures (event-driven/event streaming patterns) and hexagonal (ports-and-adapters) architecture, enabling the design of resilient, modular, and scalable systems.Demonstrated experience working within Agile methodologies, embracing collaboration, iteration, and continuous improvement.Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, and other engineering excellence practices.Strong commitment to clean code principles and long-term software maintainability.Background or interest in Payroll, HR, or financial systems.A passion for continuous learning and expanding technical expertise.About you and Our core valuesTaking ownership, working with integrity and respectBeing a team player is key to our cultureSolution and customer focusedGreat initiative with the goal for excellence in achieving resultsDedicated to developing and always looking for continuous improvementsBe creative, be committed, be engaged and enjoy what you doSpain Package and BenefitsCompetitive SalaryCompetitive vacation allowanceCalm appPrivate Medical InsuranceEAPIntensive DaysEmployee Referral ProgramWFH AllowanceLife AssuranceCloudPay NOWPaid Volunteering daysMarriage LeaveStudy LeaveBereavement LeaveCloudPay is committed to being an equal opportunities employer.The CloudPay culture is built upon on five core values, from which we develop our service, our technology and our business strategies.
