About the Role
We are looking for an engineer with experiences in React, and React Native. Your primary focus will be on developing and launching our web and mobile apps. You will ensure that the components and the overall applications are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team to ensure that we ship efficiently. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is paramount.
What You'll Do
• Work with an experienced and small all-star team to implement and launch the very first versions of the web, desktop and mobile apps.
• Implement perfectly functioning features that run smoothly on all supported platforms and devices.
• Work with cutting edge AI APIs (e.g. Whisper and ElevenLabs) to build amazing AI features.
• Ensure high app performance through extensive testing and optimization.
• Maintain a clean, well-structured and understandable codebase.
Who You Are
• 3+ years of professional experience using React and React Native.
• A great understanding of the web and mobile app development lifecycle.
• Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.
• Understanding of how startups operate. Speed trumps everything else. You have a strong need for speed, and you are excellent at making the right trade offs so you can ship fast.
• Willingness to learn and do anything within your ability to make sure the team succeeds.
• High tolerance for ambiguity.
• Kind and respectful.
• You have strong opinions that are weakly held. You can passionately present your case, but then fully commit to the team’s final decisions.
• Speak English fluently.
Nice to Haves
• Experience working with AWS.
• Experience working with Next.js.
• Experience working on native iOS and Android modules and apps.
• Experience working on social media, or voice/audio apps.
• Experience working with AI such as OpenAI, Whisper and ElevenLabs.
• Experience working with payment SDKs such as Stripe.
