This drive permeates everything we do – from how we develop our products to how we engage with our customers and how we get things done.The Device Engineer will work with Product Management and other Engineers to design, develop, and maintain network device integration software.About the roleDevelop support for emerging next-generation technologies in the networking security spaceDevelop device integration solutions for products from Palo Alto, Juniper, Checkpoint, and others, including firewall brands specific to the APAC regionGather technical requirements for integrating with the security devices through administrator guides, user guides, CLI guides, and other available resourcesLearn the inner workings of the security device and convert that logic into a structure that the application can useWork closely with the sales engineering team to prioritize device pack development based on the needs of prospects and customers in the APAC regionOccasionally participate in customer and support calls to understand and troubleshoot device-related issuesRequired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or another related fieldProficient Java coding skills, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of coding decisions, and object-oriented designScripting expertise in either BASH or Python programming languagesLinux and general command-line experienceExperience with and working knowledge of Maven, SQL, JUnit, XML/XSLT, RESTful web services, and logback/log4j preferredExpertise in networking (Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto, etc.)Regex experienceOutstanding problem-solving skills.
