Job Details Job Location: DOI - Information Technology Support Services - Washington , DC Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $65.00 - $75.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Description Bestica is hiring a Software Developer Applications (Natural / ADABAS Modernization) to provide services at the US Department of Interior, Human Resources Directorate. (REMOTE) Benefits and Details: Medical Vision Life Dental • 10 days PTO • 11 Paid Federal Holidays • Amazing Work Environment Qualifications Mandatory Requirements: Must-Have Skills • 5+ years of Software AG Natural development experience. • Proficiency integrating Natural applications with ADABAS databases. • Experience debugging, testing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise systems. • Strong analytical skills for translating business logic into technical design. Modernization / Federal Experience Focus: • Experience rehosting or refactoring legacy Natural code into modern languages (Java, C#, Python). • Knowledge of API and microservice design for legacy modernization. • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines (Git, Jenkins, CI/CD). • Experience in cloud migration or containerization (Docker, AWS). Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (required). • Software AG Natural/ADABAS Certification (preferred). • AWS Developer Associate or similar cloud certification (desired). • Security+ or equivalent for federal environments (preferred).
