Software Developer C# / .NET 8+

Remote | Preference given to candidates near Oxford, CT | East Coast applicants only

Morse Watchmans is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our global Research and Development team. This is a remote position; however, preference will be given to candidates located near Oxford, Connecticut and applicants must reside on the East Coast. Please do not apply if you are not located on the East Coast.

We are looking for a true full-stack developer who can confidently pivot between front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate is comfortable building modern user interfaces while also developing secure, scalable backend services and working directly with databases.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and enhance both front-end and back-end components of our software products
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React
• Develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET 8+
• Work with SQL Server and or SQLite databases to design, query, and optimize data structures
• Contribute to architectural decisions and overall software design strategy
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and global development teams
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure high standards of quality, security, and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack
• Maintain clear technical documentation and version control best practices

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on C# development experience required
• Strong experience with C# .NET 8.0 or greater required
• 4+ years of professional React experience required
• Strong experience with SQL Server and or SQLite required
• Proven ability to pivot between front-end and back-end development
• Minimum 4+ years in a product development or R&D environment
• Strong foundation in Object-Oriented and Service-Oriented architecture
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Experience with unit testing and code quality best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed
