Sara’s Haven is seeking a compassionate, motivated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our team as a Virtual Therapist. In this role, you will provide high-quality, client-centered mental health services to individuals, families, and groups—primarily within underserved and underrepresented communities. Services are delivered entirely via secure telehealth platforms, ensuring access to care for clients who may face barriers to in-person therapy.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Assessment & Treatment Planning
• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate emotional, psychological, social, and environmental needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach.
• Identify and prioritize client goals in collaboration with the client.
Therapeutic Interventions
• Deliver evidence-based therapy (e.g., CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing) to clients across a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and grief.
• Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and support for clients in acute distress.
• Continuously monitor progress and adjust interventions as clinically indicated.
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Comply with all ethical standards and legal regulations, including HIPAA.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision and stay current with best practices in mental health and teletherapy.
Technology & Collaboration
• Utilize telehealth platforms and digital tools to deliver secure, effective care.
• Communicate and collaborate with a supportive virtual clinical team while working independently.
Qualifications
• Active LMSW (or equevilent license) in the state of New York.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and a deep understanding of the social determinants of health.
• Comfortable working independently and adapting to a virtual care model.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with clients across diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
