Social Media Marketing Manager

But now, with our digital pens whatever you write or draw in ink on paper is instantly brought to digital life on your phone for you to use and share in your digital world. It's kind of like magic! We're excited about the road ahead and we have bold ambitions. It starts by creating a new brand for our products and shaping a new brand story. We're building a new team and we're seeking a talented and experienced Senior PR/Social Media manager to elevate our brand visibility and foster meaningful connections with our audience, through key media stakeholders and journalists as well as key social platforms. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Director, you will spearhead strategic PR initiatives and social media campaigns to build brand awareness, engage our community, and showcase the value of our digital pens. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product, to craft compelling narratives and deliver impactful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
? Public Relations
? Develop and execute PR strategies to position the brand as an industry leader.
? Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets in the tech, creative, and lifestyle spaces.
? Craft press releases, media kits, and thought leadership articles to secure earned media coverage.
? Monitor and report on media coverage, PR metrics, and campaign impact.
? Social Media Management
? Oversee and grow our brand's social media presence across platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube).
? Develop and implement content calendars, ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives.
? Create, curate, and schedule engaging content, including posts, videos, and stories, to showcase product capabilities and inspire our audience.
? Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and brand mentions in a timely and authentic manner.
? Track and analyse social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
? Campaign Development
? Lead integrated campaigns that combine PR, social media, and influencer marketing efforts.
? Collaborate with influencers and creators to showcase our products authentically and drive engagement.
? Stay informed on industry trends and leverage insights to shape campaigns and messaging.
? Thought Leadership & Brand Voice
? Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring a consistent tone of voice across all communications.
? Identify opportunities to position executives and the company as thought leaders in the digital writing and tech innovation space.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
? 5-10+ years of experience in PR, social media management, or related roles, preferably within the tech or consumer electronics industry.
Education:
? Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Skills:
? Proven track record of successful PR and social media campaigns.
? Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling content across formats.
? Deep understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and best practices.
? Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
? Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Hootsuite).
Qualities:
? Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovation.
? Adept at building and nurturing relationships with media and influencers.
? Highly collaborative yet capable of working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
