Social Media Manager/Content Creator for Pet Wellness Brand
Overview:
We are an emerging pet wellness brand with a focus on custom-formulated, botanical inspired canine nutritional solutions. Our brand voice is intentional, restrained, thoughtful; think Aesop, Sakara, Ritual - not traditional dog brands. We are seeking a versatile professional to manage our social media presence, create content, and develop/engage with a new community. We are ideally looking to establish a long term relationship that will grow along with our social media needs over time. This is a critical role for our company and you will work directly with the brand owner.
Key responsibilities:
1/ Collaborate with us on an initially limited social media strategy (ex: Instagram, Facebook) as a foundation to further growth into other channels within the next 6-12 months
2/ Create and schedule content across chosen platforms
3/ Coordinate with other content creators to ensure content aligns with our brand
4/ Engage with our audience, potential customers, and monitor community sentiment
Ideal skills:
1/ Experience in social media strategy, social media management, and content creation. An ideal candidate will have experience in small/emerging brands.
2/ Natural affinity to luxury/wellness/lifestyle aesthetics in the human and/or pet space
Additional notes:
1/ Given the nature of our brand, it's important that you have one or more doggie collaborators available to participate in content creation. We will, of course, provide healthy and tasty products for them in return for their participation.
2/ This role is US-based only (any timezone).
3/ This is a part-time/fractional role. We are very flexible on your availability and when you produce content.
4/ No agencies or overseas sourcing, please.
5/ A brief intro call (30 min or less) will be required for shortlisted candidates to ensure mutual fit before moving forward.
Budget:
Our preference is to agree an hourly rate, with hours/week varying as our needs scale up. We are open to other structures.
