Purpose and Accountability
The Marketing Social Media and Content Manager is responsible for developing and executing EarthDaily's social media strategy and digital content initiatives to enhance brand visibility, engage target audiences, and drive global reach. This role requires a strategic mindset and creativity to elevate EarthDaily's voice across key platforms including LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.

Note: This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in Canada or the US, or, if preferable, hybrid or full-time out of the Vancouver-based head office. Candidates must hold current eligibility to work in Canada or the US to be considered for the role.

Key Activities
• Social Media Strategy & Management: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy that reflects EarthDaily’s brand values and growth objectives.
• Content Calendar Development & Implementation: Design and manage a robust social media and content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic messaging.
• Blog Content & Editorial Planning: Collaborate with the communications team to produce high-quality blog content focused on geospatial intelligence, climate resilience, and global sustainability.
• Social Listening & Trend Analysis: Monitor conversations and industry trends, engaging with influencers and thought leaders to amplify EarthDaily’s presence.
• Platform Expansion & Innovation: Identify new platforms and innovative content formats—such as short-form videos, live streams, and interactive media—to enhance brand reach.
• HubSpot & Website Management: Maintain and optimize website content using HubSpot CMS, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with marketing initiatives.
• Performance Analytics & Reporting: Analyze social media metrics to track performance, optimize strategies, and report key findings.

Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within technology or Earth Observation sectors.
• Proven track record managing social media platforms with a history of growth and engagement.
• Strong understanding of geospatial technology, satellite data, and EO applications.
• Proficiency with HubSpot, social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social), and Google Analytics.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking and content optimization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

• Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000 annually. The incumbent's salary will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location.
