We're looking for a Social Media Content Creator who can bring bold, attention-grabbing content to life across platforms, and who isn’t afraid to go live and connect with an audience. About the Role You’re a natural storyteller and creator. You know how to capture attention in seconds, create visually compelling content for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, and turn followers into customers for The Sequel. In this role, you’ll ideate, film, edit, and publish high-performing short-form videos, keep up with trends, manage our presence across social platforms, and serve as a live host and on-camera personality. Please note: This is not a film, videography, design, or back-end editing position. We’re looking specifically for a front-facing content creator and live host who can drive engagement, create viral content, and connect with an audience in real time. We’re especially looking for someone who can confidently host TikTok Lives to showcase and our mystery boxes in real time, building excitement, driving engagement, and creating a viral presence. Key Responsibilities • Create, edit, and publish short-form videos (Reels, Stories, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) • Host TikTok and Instagram Lives to showcase products and engage the community • Appear on camera for videos, Stories, and Lives as needed • Write captions, hooks, and hashtags optimized for engagement • Maintain a consistent posting calendar across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn • Track engagement and report insights weekly • Monitor trends and develop creative content ideas based on what’s working • Capture behind-the-scenes content in the warehouse and office • Engage with followers, responding to comments, DMs, and questions What We’re Looking For • Confident, charismatic on-camera presence, especially for live video • Strong eye for design and visual storytelling • Experience with mobile video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InShot, VN) • Solid understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends, features, and analytics • Excellent time management, creativity, and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points): • Experience in fashion, lifestyle, resale, or eCommerce • Familiarity with UGC and influencer-style content • Ability to self-film with basic skills in lighting, sound, and framing • A portfolio, social media links, or video samples showcasing your content work Equal Opportunity Employer The Sequel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
