Social Media Content Creator

Bachan's is a company dedicated to bringing people together through flavorful Japanese Barbecue Sauce. They are seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Content Creator to develop original content for their social media channels, focusing on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, while collaborating with the team on social media strategy. Responsibilities Brainstorm + execute social-first content ideas, prioritizing short form video for TikTok & YouTube Shorts Assist with day-to-day posting/scheduling on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms as needed Create social-first content for Paid Media with guidance from briefs and in partnership with Social Media Coordinator Be comfortable creating approximately 5-10 pieces of content for TikTok per week Be comfortable with being in-front of the camera as yourself and/or our octopus mascot Take larger marketing briefs and be able to ideate social-first video ideas to support different priorities Comfortable with occasionally wearing Octopus mascot costume when needed (don’t worry other team members can + will be wearing it too, it’s a team effort) Be able to execute easy food content creation (you don’t need to be a chef by any means, but you can make a bowl of chicken, rice, and vegetables look nice) Edit social media videos using in-platform editing tools (other video editing tool experience a plus, but not required) Assist in community management engaging with Bachan’s fans of the brand on TikTok Desire to join a fun, fast-paced team Be in-office in LA with Social Media + Creative team 1 day/week Travel as needed (at least once per quarter) Occasional work on holidays and weekends as needed Skills 1-3 years of social media experience as a content creator for your own channel or a brand (UGC or in-house role) Be obsessed with social media content and staying on top of trends with a keen sense for how to continuously elevate Bachan's in culture, keeping the brand fresh & relevant to our target audience Interest or experience using social media analytics and other technology tools (i.e. Dash Hudson, Airtable, Asana) Experience engaging with a community on social media Experienced creating video content for TikTok Good communication skills and confidence in adapting to the unique voice of Bachan's Solid organizational skills with high attention to details and quality A positive, enthusiastic, results driven, ‘can-do' attitude to your work Be comfortable with occasional scheduled travel (advanced notice given) Benefits Employee Health Benefits (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) Program Life Insurance Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, and Holidays Eligible for annual Performance Bonus Employee Discount for Bachan's products Company Overview Bachan's is a food and beverage company that produces traditional Japanese barbecue sauce to serve customers.
