What You'll Do Sol de Janeiro is looking for a Social Creator-someone who's culturally savvy, visually driven, and lives to bring brands to life through scroll-stopping content. This role is part of our dynamic Global Content & Brand Experience team, reporting to the Director of Social Media, Content & Community. As a Social Creator, you'll be responsible for collaborating in the conception of on-brand content and producing short-form, native content with a focus on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube - leading with creative originality and a deep understand of what makes content resonate. You eat, sleep, and breathe a variety of creative mediums, with a keen focus on social media. Part trend-spotter, part storyteller, you have a sharp visual POV and the instincts to know what will catch, connect, and convert. From concepting to filming to editing, you'll be hands-on-creating content that inspires, entertains, and fuels real-time brand love with cultural heat. What You'll Be Working On • Make social ideas a reality by producing short-form, platform-specific content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, IG Reels, and beyond (both behind and in front of the camera if applicable). • Pitch and execute weekly ideas as you collaborate with the social team - with a focus on always-on support that ladders back to our content pillars • Collaborate with the broader consumer marketing, social and influencer teams to bring campaign and launch moments to life in a forward-thinking way. • Create content that suits the specific channel needs and intent - with a deep understanding on how to optimize for paid when necessary • Monitor cultural trends and adapt them to our brand voice and aesthetic in real time. • Edit content with strong attention to pacing, tone, visuals, motion and light graphics • Be nimble, experimental, and constantly pushing the edge of what's possible for beauty/lifestyle content - thinking outside the box and being inspired by all industries • Support scripting and copywriting where appropriate to ensure content messaging delivers on the intended purpose of the creative Must Haves • 2-4 years of experience creating content for brands or as an independent creator. • Proficiency in shooting and editing with mobile tools, full Adobe suite and CapCut. • Strong understanding of what's trending, what's about to trend, and what makes content pop. • An obsession with the arts, you are interested in various creative mediums and understand how they inspire the digital landscape • Bonus if you're comfortable on camera and have an authentic, engaging presence. • A love for storytelling, style, and expressing creativity through visual identifies This role follows a hybrid work model with three mandatory in-office days per week and requires candidates to be based in the NYC metro area.
