Social Content Lead

Youâll lead the execution of our social media content engine and manage key channels across the agency and its leadership (Darkroom, Hyper, and the CEOâs personal brand). This role lives at the intersection of marketing strategy, content production, and cultural fluency.This is not a scheduling job. Weâre looking for someone who can shape narratives, create scroll-stopping content, write copy that cuts through and track performance to inform what comes next. Youâll collaborate closely with the Director of Content, Creative Lead, video editors, and designers to bring our voice to life in ways that are smart, sharp, and made for the internet.This is a fully remote role supporting a team in the EST time zone and is open to candidates based in Portugal, Spain, Mexico and Brazil.What Youâll Do:Strategy and PlanningOwn and manage the Darkroom and Dark Social content calendars across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube and TikTok using NotionHelp lead content strategy for Darkroom, Dark Social and our newsletterCoordinate with the Creative Lead, Web Lead and editors to ensure campaigns ship on time and stay aligned with the overall brand directionDark SocialDark social is the founder-led content of our CEO, Lucas DiPietrantonio.Work closely with Lucas to generate net new ideas that align with his content strategy and fit into key narrative bucketsOwn Lucasâs publishing cadence across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and newsletterWrite scripts for social videos, pull clips from podcasts, vlogs, and internal footage and build a weekly content pipeline that stays consistent across platformsTranslate long tangents, voice notes, or unstructured thoughts into clear, punchy captions and social-ready copyDevelop and assign visuals, including TikTok green screen backgrounds, screen grabs, and repurposed content to video editors and designersCoordinate across internal teams (design, video, web) to ensure all content is polished, packaged and publishedTrack and report on specific KPIs including weekly publishing SLAs, channel-level follower growth, impressions, post engagement, and newsletter subscribersNewslettersOwn Dark social newsletter, authored by Lucas and Darkroom brand newsletterWrite, edit and coordinate shipping both newsletters each week, maintaining a consistent voice, sharp editorial tone and relevance to our core audiencesReference and study newsletter formats like Jessie Pujiâs and Tyler Denkâs to inform structure, pacing and insight deliverySource content from across our ecosystem (vlogs, interviews, podcasts, tweets, webinars) and repackage it into narrative-driven newsletters that drive engagement and subscribersOwn the newsletter content calendar, coordinate with blog editors and creative collaborators, and report on subscriber growth and engagement metricsContent CreationWrite all copy for posts, captions, headlines and newsletters using sharp, on-brand Darkroom languageCapture and edit native content using your phone at events, team gatherings, and bts momentsWork with editors to manage founder content, podcasts and long-form video productionHandle copy adaptation across channels, tailoring tone and messaging for each platformCollaborate with designers to produce branded visuals when neededCommunity ManagementMonitor and respond to comments and DMs across all platformsEngage in conversations that matter to our audience and the brandCoordinate with partners and affiliates to amplify reach and visibilityPerformance and ReportingTrack performance metrics across all channels and campaignsReport regularly on performance and use insights to guide future content decisionsStay updated on trends, algorithm shifts, and all platform updatesYouâre a Great Fit If You:Have 5 or more years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, ideally in an agency or fast-paced brand environmentAre a strong writer who understands nuance and tone, and can adapt copy across platformsKnow how to shoot and edit content on your phone, and are comfortable working with both raw and produced materialAre organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple timelines without missing the markHave a deep understanding of social platforms and can identify what content works best whereHave a track record of growing audiences and creating content that moves the needleUse data to back creative decisions and are constantly looking to optimizeThrive in fast-moving environments and like to experiment with content formats and stylesAre comfortable working directly with leadership and can manage high-impact, high-visibility contentBonus If You:Have worked with personal brands or founder-led contentHave experience managing newsletter copy or owned media channelsAre fluent in design tools like FigmaCan build simple reports and dashboards to track content performanceWhat Youâll Be DrivingA consistent and distinctive voice across all public-facing channelsA scalable content system that supports awareness and inbound interestA community that interacts with us regularly and meaningfullyA modern, on-the-pulse brand identity for one of the most exciting growth agencies in the worldYouâre committed to becoming an expert on Darkroom's target audience and advocating for the type of content they want to see.What it's like to work at DarkroomWe're building the future of advertising and are looking for the minds to help us do it.
