LET’S TELL YOU MORE

We are seeking a dynamic Smart Metering Field Technician. Within this role you will be essential in ensuring the highest standards in smart metering installations, repairs, and maintenance are met. You'll work closely with contractors and internal teams to drive performance, ensure health and safety compliance, and improve right-first-time outcomes. Regular travel to different locations will be required across our region.

This field-based role involves auditing contractor work, resolving connectivity issues, supporting customer satisfaction, and contributing to our mission of reducing leakage and water consumption through smart meter deployment. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key.

While the team is based in Coventry, our search for technicians will extend across the whole Severn Trent region.

The ideal candidate will be confident in their communication, capable of building strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners alike. You’ll bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to health and safety best practices.

You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in your day-to-day responsibilities. A strong understanding of technical operations, particularly in metering or similar fields, is desirable, along with the ability to navigate regulatory standards confidently.

We're looking for someone with the right attitude and behaviours who wants to make a positive difference to our colleagues every day. Whether you have experience in an operational role or not, we'd love to hear from you.

A full UK driving licence is required.
