Shopify Beauty Brand Art Director & Website Redesign – Shea What®

Before we schedule a call, I wanted to provide a clear overview of what I am looking for so we can determine whether we are a good fit.
My name is Anne Uhlir. I am the founder of Wax On Wax Bar, a beauty business that I built over the last 27 years. I recently sold the business and am now focusing on my skincare and body care brand, Shea What®.
Shea What® is a body butter and salve brand created from years of hands-on experience as a professional esthetician. The products are already developed, packaged, and selling. I also have a Shopify website, product photography, labels, marketing materials, product descriptions, wholesale information, brochures, and a significant amount of written content.
This is NOT a startup that needs to be built from scratch.
I am looking for someone who can review what already exists and help organize, refine, elevate, and execute a cohesive brand experience.

• Shopify website review and redesign
• Art direction and visual consistency
• Homepage redesign
• Product page improvements
• Founder story page
• Wholesale page
• Mobile optimization
• Better customer journey and conversion strategy
• Guidance on photography and imagery
• Consistent branding across Shopify, Amazon, social media, and print materials

Shea What® is not a generic skincare company.
The brand should feel:
• Modern
• Clean
• Elevated
• Professional
• Fun
• Memorable
• Confident
Key brand messages:
• Body Butter, Not Lotion

• Small Batch
• Perfume Layering Friendly

Current color direction includes white, hot pink, and turquoise, although I am open to thoughtful refinements.
Most Important Requirement:
Strong English communication skills are essential.
I am looking for someone who can clearly communicate ideas, provide recommendations, explain decisions, and work collaboratively. I value responsiveness, professionalism, and efficiency.

1. Examples of beauty, skincare, fragrance, or cosmetic brands you have worked on.
2. Shopify websites you have personally designed.
3. What you would improve first if you reviewed my current website.
4. Whether you personally do the design work or outsource any portion of the project.
5. Your estimated timeline and budget.
6. A short Loom video (2–3 minutes) reviewing my current website and providing your initial thoughts.
I am not looking for someone to reinvent the brand. I am looking for someone who can recognize the value of what already exists and help transform it into a polished, professional, and scalable beauty brand.
