Shopify Architect/Developer DTC Ecommerce
Shopify Developer (Full-Time | Remote)
We are looking for a highly technical Shopify Developer with strong eCommerce experience to join our growing consumer products brand. This is a full-time, fully remote role for someone who understands both the technical and business side of Shopify ecosystems.
The ideal candidate has experience building, optimizing, and maintaining Shopify stores in fast-paced DTC environments and is comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Shopify storefronts and custom themes
• Build and improve high-converting customer experiences across PDP, cart, checkout, and landing pages
• Manage and optimize Shopify apps and integrations including:
• Upsell & cross-sell tools
• Subscription platforms
• Loyalty/rewards integrations
• Product recommendation engines
• Troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and site performance problems
• Improve website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall UX
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams on promotions, launches, and campaigns
• Support integrations with third-party tools, APIs, and Shopify apps
• Maintain clean, scalable, and organized code
• Participate in QA and testing before deployments
Requirements
• 5+ years of Shopify development experience
• 3+ years working within eCommerce consumer products or DTC brands
• Strong technical background with hands-on coding experience
• Experience with Shopify Plus is highly preferred
• Strong experience with:
• Liquid
• HTML/CSS
• JavaScript
• Shopify APIs
• Hands-on experience with subscription, upsell, and cross-sell apps such as Recharge, Skio, Rebuy, Loop, etc.
• Understanding of conversion optimization and eCommerce best practices
• Experience with third-party integrations and app troubleshooting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer brands
• Familiarity with Shopify performance optimization and site speed tools
• Experience working alongside designers and marketing teams
• Knowledge of QA workflows and staging environments
