Key Responsibilities Lead each shift with confidence and poise, working alongside a team of baristas to deliver exceptional customer service and expertly crafted products. Act as a role model for store operations standards, ensuring that every customer interaction is a positive one. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment that reflects our brand values. Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow. Manage cash handling and store safety procedures, ensuring accuracy and security. Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of our customers. Collaborate with other shift supervisors and store managers to drive sales, manage inventory, and optimize store performance. Essential Qualifications To succeed as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, you'll need: 1+ year of customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment. 6+ months of experience delegating tasks to others and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees. Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of store operating policies and standards, including cash handling and store safety procedures. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge: Previous experience as a shift supervisor or leader in a retail or food service environment. Knowledge of coffee preparation and customer service best practices. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
