ServiceNow/Jira System Administrator (Remote)

Title: Computer Systems Administrator

Location: Work from Home

Note: This is a W2 contract position – C2C, 1099, & 3 rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered

The Computer Systems Administrator will maintain, install, upgrade, and configure computer systems hardware and software specifically around defect automation processes between ServiceNow and Jira. They will implement automation strategies, provide operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment, such as servers, desktops, printers, and storage devices, and perform recovery procedures, scheduling and backups, and batch process monitoring. Position responsibilities include;

· Learn routine assignments of limited scope and complexity

· Follow practices and procedures to solve standard or routine problems

· Handle automation back and forth between ServiceNow and Jira

· Receive general instructions on routine work and detailed guidance from more senior members on all new tasks (work is typically reviewed in detail at frequent intervals for accuracy)

· Build stable internal working relationships

· Communicate and seek guidance/feedback regularly from more senior members of the team, primarily interacting with supervisors, project leads, mentors, or other professionals in the same discipline

· Explain facts, policies, and practices related to discipline

Position Qualifications:

· Strong, prior Systems Administration experience

· Strong knowledge of ServiceNow and Jira automation principles and strategies, and general Jira administration

· General conceptual knowledge of theories, principles, and practices within discipline and industry

· A minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and/or relevant industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Net+, or CCNA preferred
