Job Description SummaryBased in NSW Australia- GIS on site service technicianJob DescriptionAt GE Vernova, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative energy solutions that help power the world.As part of our growing Grid Solutions service team, we are seeking an experienced Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS – B105/F35) / Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS – GL) Technician to support critical customer operations across Australia based in New South Wales on a FIFO roster.This role is ideal for a motivated technician who brings strong technical capability, a passion for safety, and the desire to continuously develop within a global energy technology leader.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute GIS activities to B105 and F35 Level 4 competency standardsPerform maintenance, fault finding, repairs, inspections, and life-extension work on customer equipmentDevelop capability in AIS GL314 and above through structured cross-trainingDeliver high-quality on-site service while upholding GE Vernova’s safety, quality, and compliance standardsApply technical judgment within established procedures, escalating issues when requiredSupport team leadership and potentially guide junior techniciansBuild and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a clear and professional technical representative of GE VernovaDocument service tasks accurately using GE digital tools and reporting systemsRequired QualificationsRecognised Electrical or Mechanical QualificationDemonstrated experience with HV equipment, ideally GIS/AIS systemsEWP, Working at Heights, and Confined Space certifications (highly desirable)Construction White CardValid driver’s licenceCompetence with digital tools and basic computer applicationsUnderstanding of CB (circuit breaker) testing principlesStrong English communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to meet GE Vernova’s medical, fitness, and site-access requirements for FIFO operationsDesired CharacteristicsStrong communication and customer-facing skillsAbility to plan, document, and execute technical tasks effectivelyA collaborative mindset with the ability to support and mentor othersCommitment to GE Vernova’s values of safety, integrity, and continuous improvementProactive approach to problem-solving and delivering customer valueAs GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: Yes#LI-Remote – This is a remote position
