Service Technician

Felder Group USA is hiring a CNC Field Service Technician to support customers across the Eastern half of the United States. This role involves installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC and industrial woodworking machines at customer sites, as well as providing technical support from the New Castle office. Responsibilities Install, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC and industrial woodworking machines at customer sites across the Eastern half of the U.S Perform machine startups, calibration, and customer handoff Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and CNC-related issues Recommend required spare parts and clearly communicate repair status Complete accurate service documentation and reports Work independently on most service calls, with technical backup available when needed Participate in trade shows, demos, and customer events as required Provide phone, email, and video technical support from the New Castle office Support machine demos alongside sales staff Set up, test, service, and repair machines in the showroom and warehouse Assist with general organization and cleanliness of service and showroom areas Skills Experience in CNC service, industrial maintenance, or technical field service Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills CNC machine operation or service experience Ability to work independently at customer sites Ability to clearly communicate with customers and internal teams Comfortable with frequent overnight travel Basic computer skills for service documentation High school diploma or GED required Experience with woodworking or industrial machinery Exposure to CNC programming and automation Familiarity with service ticketing or helpdesk systems Experience recommending spare parts or follow-up service Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan Paid vacation and sick time Per diem for field work Company-provided tools, laptop, and cell phone Paid domestic and international training, including at Felder Group headquarters in Austria Company Overview Welcome to Felder Group USA Felder Group stands for over 60 years of high quality woodworking machinery.
