The Service Supervisor is provided a company truck, competitive compensation, and excellent benefits package including vacation, sick time, medical insurance, and a 401k retirement plan.POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Service Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of a pest control technician team. The ideal candidate is an energetic, results-driven professional who is excited to lead a team that fosters quality, development, and growth. We train you on the technical aspects of the job. No pest control experience is required just a passion for leading and inspiring a team!Essential Job Duties:Monitor and manage a service teamParticipate in and lead the growth of the areaDefine sales goals and oversee the resultsParticipate and lead setups of large accountsPromote quality in pest control by adherence to standards for self and techniciansIdentify the need for pest control technique trainingTroubleshoot and work with technicians to improve serviceProvide training to new technicians and continuous training to existing techniciansCoach and counsel techniciansMonitor and manage relationships with key customersPromote a safety culture by adhering to OSHA, state requirements, and Plunketts' policies and proceduresReview and analyze reports to optimize routes and technicians' productivityMonitors and evaluates all costs incurred within the area; such as for labor, materials, supplies, and vehiclesCommunicate effectively with internal and external clients using excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsRequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of supervisory experienceStrong organization ability and excellent attention to detailAbility to read, legibly speak, and understand English; must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to clients and Plunkett's employeesExceptional client service skillsAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityProficiency with computers and mobile devicesThe ability to work extended hours and some weekendsMust have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordThe ability to pass state pest control licensing examsPhysical capability assessment, favorable drug test, and acceptable background record are also requiredPreferred Requirements:Previous experience working in the pest control industryExperience working with minimum supervision; able to problem solve and keep detailed recordsSix months experience in route management, route sales, customer service, sales or account management positionPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Communicates through telephone conversations, face-to-face interactions, texts and emailLift/push/pull 25lbs-50lbs regularly; some routes may occasionally require lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100lbsExtensive bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching overhead, climbing a ladder, working in confined spaces, walking for long periods, and sitting for long periodsUtilize application equipment (spray guns and bottles, hoses etc.), inspection equipment, and small hand toolsTolerate a variety of environmental conditions; indoors and outdoors during seasonal weather, damp locations, and dusty locationsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
