Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented **SEO, SEM & Website Optimization Specialist (Contract/PT)** to support our SEO Team Manager in elevating our clients’ digital presence and local search performance. This role is ideal for a specialist with strong experience in **local SEO, paid search marketing, and website optimization** who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate understands how to improve digital visibility across multiple platforms and industries by combining technical SEO, strategic content development, local authority building, and performance-driven PPC campaigns. Experience working with **small businesses — particularly within wellness, healthcare, medical spa, or service-based industries — is highly valued**.

We are a small, collaborative team, and this role is designed to **start as a part-time contract position with the opportunity to grow.**
Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist the SEO Team Manager in executing local SEO and SEM strategies across multiple client accounts.
• Optimize websites across platforms, including **WordPress and other CMS systems**, ensuring technical SEO best practices are implemented.
• Conduct comprehensive **industry, competitor, and keyword research** to identify growth opportunities.
• Create and optimize new website pages and SEO-focused content aligned with search intent and ranking goals.
• Build and strengthen **local search authority**, including on-page optimization, local signals, and citation strategies.
• Develop, launch, and manage **PPC campaigns** (Google Ads and related platforms), including keyword targeting, ad copy, and performance optimization.
• Improve website structure, metadata, internal linking, and technical elements to enhance search engine visibility.
• Support website updates, page builds, and SEO implementation during website launches or redesigns.
• Monitor performance using analytics tools and provide actionable recommendations for ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and content teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all digital assets.

Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in **local SEO strategy and execution**.
• Hands-on experience managing **SEM/PPC campaigns** within Google Ads. Other ads experience also a plus.
• Strong understanding of website optimization, on-page SEO, and technical SEO fundamentals.
• Experience working within **WordPress and other website platforms**.
• Ability to perform advanced keyword research and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Knowledge of building domain and local authority through SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with tools such as **Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager**, and industry SEO platforms (SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.).
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website structure sufficient for SEO implementation and troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple client projects.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with **small businesses, local service providers, or multi-location brands**.
• Background supporting **wellness, healthcare, medical spa, fitness, or integrative health companies**.
• **Experience in website design or development in WordPress or Webflow is a plus.**
• Agency experience managing multiple client accounts.
• Experience with conversion optimization and landing page performance improvements.
