SEO Content Writer β Property Restoration & Disaster Recovery
Overview
This role is ideal for a writer with experience in the property restoration and disaster recovery industry (or closely adjacent fields) who understands how local SEO, on-page optimization, and service-based content work together.
The writer must be able to create authoritative, technically accurate content that reflects real-world restoration workflows, terminology, regulations, and customer concerns, not surface-level marketing copy. This role will help refresh and optimize location pages, support service offerings with SEO-aligned content, and create educational and sales-support resources that can be reused across marketing and sales teams.
Responsibilities
β’ Create educational blog content that supports SEO, topical authority, and sales enablement
β’ Write and optimize website content like core service pages and location-specific landing pages
β’ Turn raw internal inputs into polished case studies
β’ Apply SEO best practices to all content, including:
β’ Keyword-informed headers (H1βH3)
β’ Meta titles and descriptions
β’ Internal linking recommendations
β’ FAQ / βPeople Also Askβ style sections where appropriate
β’ Customize content to reflect regional needs and constraints, even when local office input is limited
β’ Collaborate closely with editorial and SEO leads on content strategy, prioritization, and iteration
β’ Follow established templates and brand guidelines while maintaining originality across locations
Skills and Qualifications
β’ 3+ years of SEO-focused content writing experience
β’ Demonstrated experience writing authoritative content for the property restoration, disaster recovery, remediation, construction, or insurance-adjacent industries
β’ Strong understanding of local SEO and on-page optimization
β’ Ability to write with confidence about technical restoration topics without oversimplification or inaccuracies
β’ Ability to synthesize technical details and industry-specific information into digestible content that tells a story
β’ Comfortable working from briefs, templates, and evolving guidelines
β’ Strong editorial judgment and attention to accuracy and consistency
β’ Comfortable representing a global brand with local market sensitivity
β’ Ability to maintain consistency across multiple geographies and service lines
Preferred Attributes
β’ Hands-on familiarity with restoration workflows, terminology, or insurance-driven service environments, especially for different types of property damage and perils
β’ Multi-location or franchise-style websites
β’ Service-based or B2B content environments
β’ Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush or similar platforms
