Reporting to the Director of Communications, Alumni Annual Giving and Engagement, this role is a key leader within Operations.Key ResponsibilitiesStrong writing and editing skills, as well as a good understanding of layout for printed, electronic, and social media, printing, and graphic designAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines and collaborate with othersExceptional project management skillsHigh degree of organizationHighly collegial, and collaborative approach to meet the needs and deadlines of partners across the University including at regional campuses, provost schools and with various departments in PAE such as Alumni Relations and Alumni Annual Giving.A desire to be creative and a willingness to be adaptable and flexibleCommitment and desire to do work that makes a positive impact locally, nationally and globallyThis person will be integral to the success of Lantern Night, Homecoming, Pitt Connection monthly alumni newsletter, Life Member monthly communication, seasonal Pitt Athletics events related to Pitt Alumni Association partnerships

*!Prepares, designs, writes, and edits marketing and promotional materials and print and electronic communications. Develops, reviews, and maintains web content for public University websites. Manages writing project review and approval process and ensures adherence to schedules, guidelines, and brand. Mentors student and temporary workers.
*!Heavy computer and telephone work in addition to one-on-one meetings. Ability to research, write, edit and proofread written work and conduct interviews of profile subjects.Ability to project manage complex projects with attention to detail and accuracyOccasional need to travel to assist with on-campus events in Pittsbugh
*!Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
