Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Representative | Remote

Our client, an A Rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Remote - Senior California Workers' Compensation Claims Representative to their organization. This is a newly created position due to their continued growth. This person will be responsible for handling moderate to complex California Workers' Compensation claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates will possess their California Experienced Adjuster designation and be fully set up to work remotely.
• Handle mid to complex California Workers Compensation Lost Time claims.
• Manage a pending ranging between 85 – 95 files.
• Investigate claims to determine validity and extent of liability.
• Properly investigate and evaluate each case by corresponding with agents, insureds, claimants, witnesses, and others.
• Coordinate medical treatment for injured workers.
• Review and evaluate documentation, including applications, reports, and statements.
• Ensure legal, regulatory, and fair claims handling compliance.
• Identify claims with subrogation potential and pursue reimbursement.
• Set or recommend reserves based on results of claim investigation.

Requirements:
• 5 - 10+ years of California Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience
• Experience working for an Insurance Carrier or TPA is strongly desired
• Must have experience handling litigated files
• Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required

Salary/Benefits:
• $95,000 to $115,000 annual base salary plus bonus
