Job Overview We're seeking an experienced Senior UX Email Product Designer/Developer to join our Operational Communications team. As a Senior Email Product Designer/Developer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, responsive emails that follow brand standards and leverage current email best practices. You'll work closely with our team of Senior and Lead Email Designers/Developers to produce, proof, test, and troubleshoot dynamic HTML emails that drive engagement and conversion. Key Responsibilities Create world-class, responsive email code for Target's operational communications, including orders, account updates, reviews, loyalty programs, and more Explore new design and coding techniques to make our emails more personalized, human-centered, and actionable Generate new concepts and hypotheses, facilitate A/B testing, and pivot quickly based on feedback and learning Own the final email code and work primarily in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Create fluid, responsive, precise front-end HTML designs and connect back-end services and logic using AMPscript and data extensions Execute complete end-to-end testing of each email using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Litmus testing tools Participate in the UX process, from early discovery to ideation, design, testing, and production Leverage insights, data, and research to identify and pursue user-centric outcomes in the Operational Communications space Create design deliverables, such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design, and prototypes Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, product managers, content designers, and accessibility experts Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: 4+ years of experience with HTML/CSS front-end coding specifically for email, with a strong understanding of fluid responsive design layouts, device breakpoints, and workarounds for email client limitations Minimum 3 years of experience with coding and email development for Marketing Automation platforms, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud Expertise in using design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent to manipulate and export email design files Experience working within corporate brand standards and with testing tools like Litmus or Email on Acid Willingness to adopt new technologies, languages, and frameworks to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Knowledge of design thinking and the design process, with a passion for expanding your email development and design skillset Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to translate technical explanations to non-technical stakeholders Preferred qualifications include: Experience with AMPscript Background in UX design and product development What We Offer At Target, we believe in investing in our team members to help them grow and thrive.
