Senior Travel Industry Specialist (Platforms & API Integration)
We are seeking an experienced Travel Technology & Platform Development Specialist to lead the development of a next-generation online travel booking platform similar to .
This role requires deep expertise in travel APIs, OTA (Online Travel Agency) systems, and platform architecture. The ideal candidate will guide end-to-end development—from selecting APIs to building a scalable, user-friendly booking system.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of a travel booking platform (flights, hotels, tours, etc.)
• Identify and integrate reliable travel APIs (flights, hotels, car rentals)
• Advise on best technology stack and platform architecture
• Design and oversee UI/UX structure for booking flow
• Implement API integrations and manage data synchronization
• Guide team on OTA business logic (pricing, availability, booking flow)
• Recommend and implement payment gateway integrations
• Ensure platform scalability, speed, and security
• Assist in selecting or building admin dashboards & backend systems
• Optimize system for SEO and performance
• Stay updated with travel tech trends and OTA standards
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience in travel industry technology / OTA platforms
• Hands-on experience with travel APIs such as:

• Strong knowledge of:
• API integration (REST/JSON/XML)
• Travel booking engines
• Pricing & inventory systems
• Experience with platforms like:
• Custom-built systems (React, Node.js, Laravel, etc.)
• CMS (WordPress + travel plugins if applicable)

• Experience building platforms similar to:

• Knowledge of B2B & B2C travel systems
• Familiarity with GDS systems (Global Distribution Systems)
• Experience in mobile-first platform development
• Strong problem-solving and strategic planning skills

• Recommend and finalize best APIs and providers
• Complete platform architecture plan
• Build or supervise development of full booking system
• Ensure smooth user journey (search → select → pay → confirmation)
• Provide technical roadmap and scaling strategy
