About the Systems Engineering Group The Systems Engineering Group is the technical backbone of our Sales and Field Operations organization. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be part of a team that designs and implements innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter. You'll serve as the solution architecture and technical consulting lead, with end-to-end design, technology consultancy, and implementation responsibility for all pre-sale and post-sale engagements nationwide. Job Description: Key Responsibilities Provide post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, and maintenance of company products, ensuring that client needs are met and solutions are fully functioning according to specification. Implement detailed customer installation requirements and provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications. Design company products or systems from technical roadmap to architectural designs, defining appropriate platforms and system specifications. Determine core server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols, developing technical, tactical, and strategic plans. Lead and define technical network architecture designs for ASTRO 25 mobile backhaul networks and adjacent technologies, creating and documenting detailed network drawings. Continually evaluate third-party vendor equipment used in our portfolio and work with vendors/contractors to ensure delivery of requirements set forth by the design. Support the engineering community in best practices for network designs, conducting network topology assessments and troubleshooting. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's (BS) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science. 8+ years of experience in one of the following: Electronics Technician, System Technologist, System Manager, or Field Service Experience with one or more of the following: LMR, RF systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, or Networking equipment. Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s). Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ASTRO 25 mobile backhaul networks and adjacent technologies. Strong understanding of networking protocols, server infrastructure, and capacity planning. Excellent technical leadership and communication skills.
