Job Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer, Platform Engineer will be responsible for:
Designing, developing, and maintaining our technical infrastructure, including hardware and system software
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and drive business success
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our systems and processes
Providing expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex technical issues
Developing and maintaining documentation, including infrastructure as code models and knowledge base articles
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Delivery & Execution (30%): Developing and implementing infrastructure architectures, collaborating with teams to deliver solutions, and ensuring systems are secure and up-to-date
Learning (15%): Staying current with industry trends, participating in learning activities, and applying knowledge to improve systems and processes
Planning & Analysis (20%): Researching and analyzing business trends, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies
Support & Enablement (35%): Collaborating with teams to understand needs, enabling them with infrastructure, and providing expert-level support and troubleshooting
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
3-5 years' experience in Linux/Unix administration, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration
Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Strong troubleshooting and remediation skills, with experience in multiple IT disciplines
Scripting language experience, with proficiency in Bash and Go preferred
Familiarity with cloud platforms, network operations, and version control systems
A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
