Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Forensic Business Accounting
Flux is supporting an active FEMA disaster recovery project in New Mexico and is seeking senior-level Forensic Business Accounting Subject Matter Experts. This role supports FEMA funded recovery programs through financial analysis, documentation review, and complex claims evaluation tied to disaster impacts. These roles will primarily be remote aside from an initial couple week travel period. Payrate for these roles will likely fall in the $50-$60/hr range.
What You'll Support
ā¢ Forensic review of financial records and supporting documentation
ā¢ Analysis of business interruption and financial loss claims
ā¢ Cost reasonableness, eligibility, and compliance reviews
ā¢ Support for audits, reconciliations, and reporting
ā¢ Coordination with program, legal, and compliance teams
What We're Looking For
ā¢ 10+ years of experience in accounting, forensic accounting, finance, or auditing
ā¢ Experience with government programs, insurance claims, or disaster recovery preferred
Professional certifications could include, but are not limited to:
CPA, CFE, CMA, CIA, or other recognized accounting or forensic credentials
