As a Senior Staff Solutions Engineer, you will be part of a talented team of engineers and architects who design, implement, and maintain our complex network infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in driving our technical roadmap, ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of our systems. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of complex network solutions to meet business requirements and objectives, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. Maintain and enforce network standards, policies, and best practices across the organization, ensuring consistency, reliability, and security. Collaborate with the Security team to ensure the effective implementation of security best practices, safeguarding our network and data. Design, deploy, and support SD-WAN solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Implement and maintain wired and wireless security measures to protect our infrastructure. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative network technologies and solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending strategic investments and enhancements to our network infrastructure. Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex network issues, providing guidance and expertise to resolve critical incidents and outages. Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Determine and support resource requirements, evaluate operational processes, and measure outcomes to ensure desired results, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning. Configure and maintain SD-WAN edge devices, gateways, and controllers to support dynamic traffic routing, QoS, and security policies. Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to develop customized SD-WAN designs and configurations. Monitor network performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure maximum uptime. Mentor and coach junior engineers, helping to strengthen their technical expertise and know-how. Influence and educate executives on technical matters, providing strategic guidance and insights. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance activities, ensuring the continuity of our operations. Qualifications and Requirements To excel in this role, you must possess: Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and standards, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, SDN, and SD-WAN. Extensive hands-on experience with network equipment and platforms from leading vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, and Palo Alto Networks. A strong understanding of network security principles, best practices, and compliance requirements, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption. High proficiency in architecture assessment and proposals, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex network solutions. Proficiency in designing and implementing SD-WAN solutions, with experience in configuring and maintaining SD-WAN edge devices, gateways, and controllers. Experience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches, demonstrating a data-driven mindset. The ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements. In terms of experience, we are looking for candidates with: 10+ years of professional experience in Network Engineering. 8+ years of experience in architecture and design, with a proven track record of leading complex network projects. 6+ years of experience with open-source frameworks, demonstrating a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies. 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service, highlighting your ability to work in a cloud-centric environment. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience is required.
