Senior Staff Accountant - Inventory & Cost Accounting

Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our growing finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records, cost accounting processes, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have solid accounting knowledge, experience with inventory management, and month-end closing. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical and communication skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions: β€’ Prepare journal entries, perform account analysis and reconciliations, and assist with the monthly close process. β€’ Address and resolve issues encountered during month-end close or daily operations in accordance with company policy. β€’ Develop and maintain inventory reporting and analysis tools to provide insights into inventory levels, turnover, obsolescence, and cost trends; provide actionable recommendations for improvement to management. β€’ Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. β€’ Implement and maintain effective internal controls over inventory. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and drive improvements in operational efficiency. β€’ Plan, coordinate, execute, and reconcile the annual year-end inventory cycle count. β€’ Assist with internal and external audits. β€’ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. β€’ Participate in special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: β€’ 10 Key β€’ Proficient in MS office, especially excel (must be familiar with different kinds of functions for analysis). β€’ Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. β€’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. β€’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team β€’ Strong attention to detail and accuracy. β€’ Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required Qualifications/Experience: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field β€’ At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance. β€’ Computer industry work experience is preferred. β€’ Effective written and verbal communication skill of Chinese/ Mandarin is a plus. $75,000 - $95,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
