About the Role Anju Software is expanding its global finance function and seeks a hands-on Senior Staff Accountant based in South Africa. You'll own day-to-day accounting for multiple legal entities (US, UK, Germany, India), support month-end close, and partner with FP&A on reporting and cash-flow forecasting. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely close processes, and scalable accounting operations while partnering closely with our U.S.-based finance team. You will also be expected to support and at times drive workflow automation activities to reduce manual processes within the finance function. Key Responsibilities Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities in NetSuitePrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsPerform balance sheet and income statement reconciliationsMaintain and reconcile deferred revenue and revenue recognition schedules in accordance with ASC 606Support subscription billing and revenue workflows (SaaS)Prepare internal financial reports and variance analysesMaintain fixed asset, prepaid, and amortization schedulesAssist with external audits, tax filings, and SOX-related requestsEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controlsIdentify and implement process improvements within NetSuite, including workflow automationManage accounts receivable and collections, including monitoring aging reports, following up on overdue invoices, partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Billing to resolve disputes, and ensuring accurate cash receipt application in NetSuite Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with U.S.-based companiesStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAPHands-on experience with NetSuite (required)Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based businessAI-fluent with a continuous improvement mindsetAdvanced Excel / Google Sheets skillsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal English communicationAbility to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage priorities remotely Preferred Qualifications Experience with ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognitionFamiliarity with SaaS KPIs (ARR, MRR, churn, deferred revenue)Experience supporting the collections process What Success Looks Like Consistently accurate and timely close cyclesClean reconciliations with minimal review commentsClear, proactive communication with U.S. stakeholdersStrong NetSuite data integrity and documentationContinuous improvement of accounting processes via AI and automation tools
