Job Summary: The Sr. Specialist of Busine ss Development reports to the Sr. Manager of Business Development. They will play a pivotal role in driving traffic, engagement, and sales within key geographic regions for Vail Resorts retail and rental (VRR) operations and online eCo mmerce platforms. This position is focused on identifying, developing, and managing strategic business development opport unities between VRR and various stakeholders, such as sales teams, hospitality partners (both owned and third - party), resort and commun ity affiliates, and other Vail Resorts lines of business. The primary objective is to drive both walk - in and online reservations, boosting sales and enhancing guest experiences. They will also provide support for the coordination of Group rental business i n their region including group setup processes, liaise between store ops and the sales team, reservation follow - up and general support. The Sr. Specialist is instrumental in building meaningful connections through effective relationship management, strateg ic marketing initiatives, and targeted, personalized outreach. Job Specifications: Starting Wage: $58,461.98 - $90,317.77 Employment Type: Year Round Shift Type: Full Time hours available Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age Housing Availability: No Job Responsibilities: In - resort Sales , Marketing & Referrals : Forge and strengthen sales - oriented partnerships with regional lodging entities to drive re tail and rental referral growth Strategically manage relationships to outperform competitors by driving guest traffic for walk - in and close - in reservations (online rese rvations) from in - resor t guests Lead the development of new initiatives in collaboration with leader ship to drive incremental sales Execute a schedule of strategic visits to optimize part ner engagement, and performance Design and implement seasonal strategies, including sales ta rgets, budget management, media planning, strategic promotions, an d participation in local events Advise and support promotional efforts with a focus on market - specific needs. Coordinate with marketing teams on the creation of referral cards, promotional m aterials, and other divisional projects. Group Sales Operations : Liaise with Sales and Store O p eration s to ensure seaml ess execution of group business Support in ensuring the highest level of Group business service levels from contracting to billing Groups and Referrals : Ensure accurate regional sales reporting and commission structures for both group and referral channels, while resolving issues related to member complaints, order inaccuracies, and system errors Monitor competitive landscape and prov ide actionable insi ghts for continuous improvement Organize and execute partner & group appreciation e vents to reinforce and ce lebrate successful partnerships Create and manage pricing spreadsheets and marketing collateral for both group and in - resort part ners Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing and/or sales Experience with Word Suite, E xcel skills required Strong communicator that is able to provide and receive feedback Strong team player Able to work in a fast - paced environment and prioritize changing objectives High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail The expected Total Compensation for this role is $58,461.98 - $90,317.77.
