Senior Solutions Architect, AWS-Cloud Migration

The Role A Presidio Sr. Solutions Architect (Sr. SA) leads the presales discovery, analysis, architectures, designs, and proposals of relevant solutions that map to customer outcomes and requirements through direct client engagement. A Sr. SA leverages presales methodologies, technical acumen, key relationships (clients, internal Presidio stakeholders and vendor partners), and context analysis (Industry, Customer, Technical, Sales) to position and recommend solutions that deliver long term value. Travel In this role you will be expected to travel up to 25%. This is a remote position based in the United States. Responsibilities • Understand Customer Current State: drive discovery and understanding of customer IT current state, goals, outcomes, and initiatives across Business, Technical, Operational, and financial facets. Develop discovery approaches, lead workshops, and document current state to inform future state architectures and roadmaps. • Technical Opportunity Leadership: identify customer stakeholders and their success criteria, create and lead technical solution approaches and next steps, align and coordinate Presidio and vendor resources, and engage at Manager/VP/Director level. • Solution Architecture, Design and Documentation: analyze requirements, determine target architecture and design solutions (HW, SW, Licensing, Cloud services, Managed Services, Delivery Services), and deliver proposals with drawings and diagrams. • Technical Excellence & Evangelism: maintain technical excellence, deliver knowledge and presentations, participate in technical programs, attain certifications when appropriate, and present new IT topics. • Account Leadership: participate in account activities to establish trusted advisor relationships (Account planning, EBCs, events). • Team Engagement and Culture: engage team members, participate in activities, and contribute to a collaborative culture aligned with PRESIDIO CULTURE. • Partner Relationships: develop vendor relationships and drive GTM strategies. • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: plan and pursue growth and improvements to presales processes and GTM. • Enable Others: mentor and enable others, share methods and lessons learned. Required Skills • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or solution architecture • 5+ years of AWS experience including migration of workloads • Experience in a consulting role • Understanding of Cloud Migration frameworks and strategies • Understanding of Cloud adoption models and approaches • Expert-level knowledge in one or more of the following areas: cloud management platforms, compute/storage architectures, SDDC/virtualization, data protection, container platforms, and Infrastructure as Code tools Additional Desired Skills • Knowledge of design and/or support of network, security, CI/CD pipelines, authentication/authorization, directory services, agile practices, and cloud certifications • Presales experience with bias for action • Program/project management experience • Experience managing complex multi-discipline IT projects • Experience preparing RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solutions • Comfort leading CIO/CTO level presentations and demonstrations • Experience with SOW and BoM for cloud and datacenter projects Your future at Presidio Joining Presidio means joining a culture of trailblazers—thinkers, builders, and collaborators—pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI-driven analytics, cloud, cybersecurity, and next-gen infrastructure.
