Job Title: Senior Software Testing Engineer/ Quality Assurance Specialist
Location(s): Washington, DC (Remote)
Description:
Seeking for a Senior Software Testing Engineer/ Quality Assurance Specialist with demonstrated experience in software testing in agile and waterfall development lifecycles.
Responsibilities:
Β Define testing strategies for specific projects/releases to ensure that it is up to best practices and company standards
Β Create test plans and test execution plans, ensuring that the team meets the deadlines outlined in those plans.
Β Evaluate projects thought the life of the project and identify areas where improvement can be made
Β Report to upper management, including report progress, plans, risks and issues.
Β Evaluates, generates, executes, and maintains a full test library with test scenarios to ensure requirements coverage and regression coverage with positive and negative testing in line with Ampcus processes and procedures.
Β Author test cases (manual) for internal and external clientele.
Β As directed, lead meetings including defect management calls.
Β Execute tests (manual)
Β Distributes, Communicates, and Manages QA project(s) across the QA team
Β As requested, writes End User Release Notes and Technical Documentation generated with accuracy, completeness, and overall quality.
Β Provide estimation of tasks, and on-time delivery against stated schedules
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Β Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Information Systems or related field and/or an ISTQB certification
Β At least 3 yearsΒ worth of leading projects and 10 years' quality assurance experience
Β Ability to evaluate, write test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
Β Detailed oriented. High defect/bug finder when it comes to executing manual tests of software applications.
Β Experience in working in an agile SDLC.
Β Experience in writing test cases for end users, user acceptance test participants and/or or business.
Β Must have a strong command of the English language and writing acumen.
Β Must be able to read and interpret business requirements and read/write technical specification documents.
Β Should have a basic understanding of source control/configuration management.
Β Must understand Software Quality Assurance best standards and practices.
Β Must be able to demonstrate individual and teamwork effort in collaborative processes.
Β Requires the ability to read and interpret technical documents and write a variety of business and technical documents. May include doing presentations on team activities.
At least 10 years' experience in:
Β Creating Test Plans
Β Creating Test Scenarios
Β Creating Test Cases to be used as part of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for external clientele
Β One of these industries or equivalent: Capital Markets, Mortgage Backed Securities, Financial
Β Tools: JIRA, Microsoft Office
Β Extreme Proficiency in the English Language is a MUST : Must be able to independently write materials for publication on public websites and use by client stakeholders and end users.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Β Data Testing including SQL
Β Certificates in Agile, Project Management or ISTQB
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Β Experience in an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) team
Β Knowledge of Azure, AWS
Β Knowledge of PeopleSoft
Β Microsoft Visio/Diagramming Solution
