Job Purpose As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, MarTech Data Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving our marketing technology strategy forward, leveraging data to deliver personalized customer experiences at scale. You will lead a team of talented engineers and managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping our MarTech data capabilities, including identity management, CDP platform, activation pipelines, and foundational data integrity. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Planning (20%): Develop and execute the MarTech data strategy, aligning with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Collaborate with Enterprise Data & Analytics and Data Product teams to build scalable data capabilities. Evaluate new technologies and recommend adoption across the enterprise. Negotiate with partners to staff skilled engineering positions on product teams. Delivery & Execution (20%): Collaborate with product teams to create secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions. Document and review quality and change control standards. Write custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure and monitoring services. Work with vendors and partners to implement critical tooling and platforms. Support & Enablement (15%): Field questions from engineers, product teams, or support teams. Monitor tools and participate in conversations to encourage collaboration. Provide application support for software running in production. Act as a technical escalation point for engineers on the team. People (45%): Lead, mentor, and coach Software Engineers to build a world-class team. Attract, retain, and develop top talent. Conduct annual and mid-year reviews, providing feedback and growth opportunities. Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and innovation. Essential Qualifications Mastery of an object-oriented programming language (preferably Java). Legally permitted to work in the United States. Minimum 6 years of work experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Software/Data Engineering. Advanced degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field. Retail or similar background, with experience in Marketing business concepts and strategies. Technical owner experience of a Marketing CDP capability, with a strong understanding of architecture, platform engineering, and industry landscape. Deep understanding of the cloud data landscape, from engineering best practices to industry trends. Strong track record of leading Managers of Engineering teams and developing high-performing organizations. Skills and Competencies Technical Skills: Java, cloud data platforms, MarTech, CDP, data engineering. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $240,000, depending on experience.
