Senior Software Engineer - Treasury
The Treasury team is a team of full-stack engineers that are building thoughtful products that manage billions in customer funds, all while helping Mercury scale. As part of this role, you will:
ā¢ Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects across Treasury engineering, operations, compliance, and risk teams to build stable and scalable systems and processes
ā¢ Play a significant role in defining the technical architecture and experience of the Treasury product
ā¢ Collaborate with product, design, and operations to ship thoughtful features for our customers and internal users
ā¢ Feel a strong sense of product ownership and actively seek responsibility - we want someone excited to help shape and build Mercury's future
ā¢ Join a team of experienced and junior product engineers managing billions of dollars of customer assets
The ideal candidate for the role:
ā¢ Experienced with Haskell or another programming language with sufficiently similar static typing or functional paradigms
ā¢ Domain knowledge of broker-dealer trading or custody systems that support both individual securities (equities, fixed income) as well as ETFs and mutual funds
ā¢ Has been the technical lead of complex projects with many stakeholders with a track record of success
ā¢ Made architectural decisions measuring the impact of those decisions over time. You should be able to clearly articulate your technical opinions and lay out tradeoffs
ā¢ Comfortable mentoring both junior and senior engineers
ā¢ Communicates and collaborates effectively with peers and cross-functional counterparts by being helpful and engaged

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a job candidate's experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:
ā¢ US employees (any location): $166,600 - 263,450
ā¢ Canadian employees (any location): CAD $157,400 - 248,950
