This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of the Amazon vision.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will drive the technical direction of our offerings and solutions, working with many different technologies across the sponsored products organization. You will design, code, troubleshoot, and support scalable services, machine-learning pipelines and online serving systems, that will handle millions of requests per day, and maintain response latencies of milliseconds, meeting strict SLA requirements (high operational standards). You will work closely with PEs and applied scientists to optimize the performance of machine-learning models and infrastructure, and implement end-to-end solutions. What you create is also what you own. In addition to being a strongly motivated individual contributor, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and guiding them to deliver to the full potential.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
