Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - PlatformLocation: RemoteJob Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleYou will be part of the Platform team that is responsible for establishing the foundational patterns and central systems such as authentication, federated GraphQL, data orchestration and application architectures.Your focus will be to deliver the GraphQL client and service development best practices, runtime tooling and architecture support necessary for teams across the Engineering department at LottieFiles to build exceptional clients, services and systems. ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate knowledge of GraphQL in a distributed system, service development, DevOps practices and support.Ensure services are developed to industry best practices, including observability, architectural patters and inter-team dependency mechanismsDrive high-impact solutions at a team level, including inception, design, execution and delivery following good design and coding practicesWrite code to implement high-quality, scalable, future-proof features that solve platform level problems and support long term vision and strategyParticipate in technical discussions within and across teams to come up with documented conclusionsIdentify risks and gaps in technical approaches and propose solutions to meet the teams’ technical visionWork closely with product managers, designers and service teams to define project requirements and execution plansRequirementsAt least 5 year of proven development experience in a leading / ownership role (must have)Hands-on experience delivering software within high-growth environments at scaleExperienced in designing and building large-scale, cloud-based systems across various projectsExperience operating distributed services at scale, including familiarity with observability tools, logging techniques, troubleshooting, and incident response.Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience driving solutions forward and ability to influence resultsProficient in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience developing applications using current frontend / backend frameworksExperience with one or more common open source platforms, tools and framework, eg: GraphQL, Node.js, React, Kubernetes, etc.Experience with GraphQL, Federated Gateways is a plusYou are able to work and thrive in a fully remote environmentExcellent communicator (important for a remote team) in English PerksFully Remote Working EnvironmentFlexible Work HoursA welcome gift and swag packBonus to set up your workstation at homeUnlimited Leave DaysMedical InsuranceGenerous learning budgetGym membershipCo-working space membership
