Senior Engineers in this role are expected to design and deliver complex, scalable solutions, drive technical decisions, and act as go-to experts in their domain. You’ll work closely with your TL, PM, and Product Development (PD) teams to guide the technical direction of the team and the product.Broaden Influence Across Teams: Grow into a cross-team technical leader, guiding larger projects or system-wide initiatives that span multiple teams.Career PathThere are several paths for growth and advancement from the Senior Software Engineer (Level II) role:Tech Lead (TL) II: Senior Engineers (Level II) can transition to a Tech Lead role, where they will not only be expected to continue excelling as strong individual contributors but also demonstrate leadership by owning projects, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical decisions across the team.Staff Engineer: To move into a Staff Engineer role, you’ll need to demonstrate deep technical expertise and the ability to autonomously lead large, impactful projects. Staff Engineers typically drive significant technical direction and contribute to shaping the overall architecture of systems at a higher organizational level.Pay & BenefitsThe cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
