**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Customer Order Management Operations team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and associates. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, drive technical innovation, and ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
* **Delivery and Execution (50%):**
+ Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and associates
+ Take on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
+ Consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances
+ Develop test suites (functional, destructive, etc.) to enable success and rapid deployment of code to production
+ Take a broad view when approaching issues, using a global lens
* **Learns and Grows (20%):**
+ Learn through successful and failed experiments when tackling new problems
+ Actively seek ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels
* **Plans and Aligns (20%):**
+ Collaborate with other team members in agile processes
+ Create new and better ways for the organization to be successful
+ Work with the Product Team to ensure user stories are valuable, developer-ready, easy to understand, and testable
+ Deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
+ Adapt approach and demeanor in real-time to match the shifting demands of different situations
+ Relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people
* **Supports and Enables (10%):**
+ Help grow junior engineers by providing guidance on modern software development frameworks and leading technical discussions
**Direct Manager/Direct Reports**
* This position typically reports to a Software Engineer Manager or Sr. Manager
* This position has 0 Direct Reports
**Travel Requirements**
* No travel required
**Physical Requirements**
* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, and there is frequent opportunity to move about
* On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles
**Working Conditions**
* Located in a comfortable indoor area
* Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Must be eighteen years of age or older
* Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 2-4 years of relevant work experience
* Experience with front-end technology such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, an object-oriented programming language (preferably Java), relational or NoSQL database technology, cloud computing techniques, CI/CD tools, modern software design patterns
* Strong foundation in Linux/Unix systems administration
* Demonstrated ability to work in an operations-focused role, including handling incident calls and running standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Familiarity with Linux, Tomcat, and GCP environments
* Interest in DevOps principles and operations, with a passion for contributing to both development and operational aspects of the team
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
* Experience in effective data modeling with both relational and NoSQL databases
* Experience with security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication
* Experience with creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests
* Experience with modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques
* Experience with version control systems
* Experience in designing systems for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, efficiency, and security
* Exposure to developing technical roadmaps, including work estimation, refactoring, and modernizing legacy systems

* The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
