Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is the team behind Microsofts expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsofts Intelligent Cloud mission. The Cloud Hardware Analytics & Tools (CHAT) Team within SCHIE develops advanced analytical and tooling solutions to support and improve the quality of Microsoft Azure. We collect and analyze data across the full Azure stack, HW & SW components, Silicon development processes, and much more. CHAT Data Science, a branch of CHAT, provides data science support, machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions, and advanced visualizations to cloud engineering and management partners. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support our custom data analytics and visualizations platform. This high-impact role combines software engineering with data science, and will have direct contributions to Azure-level projects, including working with highly visible platforms through data-driven approaches. This role closely collaborates with BI and Data Engineers, Software Engineers, other Data Scientists, Program Managers, and HW Engineering teams.

Responsibilities
Work on new software features within our advanced tool and automation platform.
Work on complex, mission-critical solutions that involve multiple Azure Services.
Design and develop production-level code.
Work in collaborative environment.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years of software development experience using Python or Java.
3+ years of experience with the Azure Framework or similar.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
ADO (Azure Dev Ops) management experience
Desired coding languages include .Net, React, Angular and PowerShell
Firm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end project lifecycle
Knowledge and working experience in data mining, statistics, mathematics is a plus
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
