The Senior Site Reliability Engineer role is a part-time, remote position that offers flexible working arrangements, including telecommuting up to 2-3 days per week. You will work closely with our IT improvement squads to implement quality practices for reliability and performance, design and develop scalable infrastructure, and troubleshoot incidents to ensure the availability and reliability of our applications and services.

Key Responsibilities


Collaborate with Delta IT improvement squads to implement quality practices for reliability and performance with the programs and services they manage.
Design, develop, test, debug, and automate tasks for applications, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Troubleshoot incidents to address failure patterns, automate remediation through runbooks, and document application optimization.
Build and manage a reliable application suite for the environment that meets the development and maintenance requirements of systems/applications.
Work with development teams to assess the health, stability, and reliability of applications.
Utilize and monitor alerts, dashboards, and control tools to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of applications and services.
Continuously work to improve and implement automation of application tasks.
Provide technical support for systems/applications according to application Service Level Agreements.
Design and develop resiliency in the application code, troubleshoot incidents, engage with squads to address failure patterns, and participate in incident management.


Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 2 years of experience as an application developer or related field.
Alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 1 year of experience as an application developer or related field.
Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining a stable and scalable infrastructure platform for delivering cloud-native applications.
Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipeline, including designing, building, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with designing and implementing next-generation DevOps/SRE solutions.
Understanding of full-stack observability, including implementing monitoring, logging, and tracing functions.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the Agile development lifecycle.


Preferred Qualifications

To stand out as a candidate, you should possess the following preferred qualifications:


Experience in the airline industry is a plus.
Additional certifications or training in relevant technologies, such as cloud computing, DevOps, or SRE.
