Senior SEO Manager

Summary:We are looking for an experienced and data-driven SEO Lead Strategist to spearhead our SEO strategy and guide our inbound content marketing efforts. This role will oversee our in-house and external SEO contractors, collaborate closely with the content team, and report directly to the Director of Demand Generation. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, have a proven track record of managing consultants and vendors, and possess strong communication and prioritization skills. If you go to sleep at night thinking about the next Google algorithm update, care about driving quality traffic that converts into real customers and not just vanity metrics, then we want you!What You’ll Do:Develop and manage a comprehensive SEO roadmap that focuses on driving organic traffic through content creation, optimization, and technical improvementsMonitor and analyze content performance to identify opportunities for re-optimization, refreshing, or pruning underperforming pagesPrioritize keyword targets and own on-page optimization efforts, including keyword selection, analyzing rankings, internal linking, and implementing schema markupLiaise with content creators to assign tasks for new content creation and re-optimization projects based on performance data and keyword prioritiesTrack, measure, and report on SEO KPIs, providing insights into technical roadblocks, areas of opportunity, and overall performanceProject manage SEO initiatives, creating and assigning JIRA tickets to ensure seamless execution across development, content, and QA teamsEducate and enable internal stakeholders on SEO best practices to foster a culture of SEO-first content creationWork closely with the development team to implement technical SEO improvements, ensuring SEO best practices are met during website updates and releasesQA releases to confirm SEO recommendations are properly implemented and no regressions occur post-launchMonitor competitor activity and Hubstaff’s share of voice in search results to uncover new opportunities and inform SEO strategiesProvide regular competitor analysis reports, highlighting areas where Hubstaff can improve rankings or capture additional market shareRegularly audit Hubstaff’s website and provide ongoing recommendations for site performance, crawlability, and indexing improvementsDevelop and maintain SEO performance dashboards to track organic growth, keyword rankings, and key traffic metricsOversee the work of the SEO contractors, ensuring alignment with Hubstaff’s goals and standardsUtilize SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc., to conduct audits and track performanceStay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry developmentsWhat You Should Have:Minimum of 7 years of experience in full-time SEO work, with a proven track record of driving organic growth Minimum of 3 years of experience with SaaS.Experience collaborating with content writers and guiding them on SEO-driven content strategiesHands-on experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search ConsoleExceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions based on what’s driving key business resultsExperience managing consultants, vendors, and contractorsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers and cross-functional teamsProficient in project management tools like JIRA, Asana, or TrelloStrong organizational skills, with experience managing multiple projects and competing prioritiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWhy You Should Apply:Competitive Compensation: USD 100 -115k/year base salary, based on your experience and alignment with our role.
