We're seeking a seasoned Senior Scrum Master to join our team and drive the adoption of Agile methodologies, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality IT projects.

About the Role

As our new Senior Scrum Master, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing Scrum processes, coaching team members in Scrum methodology, and leading daily Scrum meetings. You will work closely with stakeholders to support release planning, foster team decision-making, and facilitate collaboration between the Scrum team and product owner. Your goal will be to ensure adherence to Scrum principles and Agile industry standards, driving the administrative, coaching, and leadership roles that make Scrum development possible.

Key Responsibilities


Coordinate and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies throughout the lifecycle, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication among team members.
Facilitate and participate in daily stand-ups, helping the team maintain their burndown chart and stay focused on sprint goals.
Shield the team from interruptions during the sprint, removing obstacles that affect their productivity and workflow.
Collaborate with the product owner to walk them through technical user stories, ensuring a deep understanding of the product backlog.
Encourage collaboration between the Scrum team and product owner, fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and continuous improvement.
Proactively identify and address impediments, using problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and minimize delays.


Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Qualifications


A minimum of five (5) years of experience in an active Scrum Master role, with a proven track record of successfully implementing and overseeing Scrum processes.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a functional IT role, or equivalent experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of IT principles and practices.


Preferred Qualifications


Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, PSM, or equivalent), demonstrating expertise in Scrum principles and practices.
Experience leading Scrum ceremonies, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain a high level of productivity.
Excellent problem-solving and impediment removal skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Experience in coaching and mentoring teams in Scrum framework, with a strong ability to facilitate continuous improvement and growth.

Remote Work Requirements

While you're free to work from anywhere in Colorado, periodic reporting to our primary state work location may be required. All remote work must be performed within the state of Colorado, and you're expected to relocate to Colorado if selected for the position.
