In this role, you will report to the Revenue Accounting Manager and work closely with other members of the finance team. This role will primarily be focused on product accounting, including revenue recognition, and related accounting balances. You will be a key member of the accounting close process, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. You will also play a significant role in the annual audit and help the finance, product and leadership teams understand financial results. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and can follow directions in a fast-paced environment by maintaining high quality and accuracy.What You’ll DoAct as a key player in the month-end close by maintaining and reconciling general ledger accountsPrepare monthly financials and ad hoc reports and presentations for managementAssist in the annual audit process with external auditors and tax compliance processAssist in the creation of accounting policies, improved processes, and financial controlsAssist in creating accounting desktop procedures for cross-training team membersCollaborate with FP&A to monitor the budget and prepare the budget for actuals.Participate in other ad hoc projects, system integrations, and reporting requirements as neededWork closely with the team to ensure policies and procedures comply with professional standards and audit and regulatory requirementsSupport other team members across the organization based on their needs and your competenceWhat You’ll NeedBachelor’s degree in Accounting 4+ years of experience in AccountingProven expertise with ExcelWorking knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standardsExcellent written and verbal communication; ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditionsExtreme attention to detail and high regard for precisionNice to Haves:Big 4 experience or valuable accounting experience with high-growth companiesCPA or other accounting designationExperience with SaaS Revenue Recognition, experience on Revenue accounting teams, or experience auditing Revenue related account balances.Experience in high-growth startups and/or high-growth technology companiesExperience with Netsuite, FloQast, RampExperience automating manual accounting processes and tasksExposure to using AI software and leveraging it in day-to-day workFor candidates located in NYC or SF, the pay range is $70,000 - $130,000 .
